Dara Edmonds is Director of Salal Consulting and a senior associate with InterPraxis.

Dara is a Vancouver-based lawyer and a skilled sustainability professional with over a decade of experience, Dara specializes in the areas of sustainability performance and compliance, sustainability reporting, impact measurement and stakeholder engagement.

Dara previously worked as a CSR Manager at Teck Resources, leading their sustainability reporting efforts, and has extensive experience in the application of external assurance standards and frameworks, including the AA1000, GRI G4, ICMM’s Assurance Framework, UN Global Compact, and the Mining Association of Canada’s Towards Sustainable Mining Assessment Tool.

Dara was also part of the InterPraxis team that provided independent assurance for Vancity’s award winning Accountability Report as well as for Diageo’s Global Citizenship Report.

She has conducted program assessments for not-for-profits and government clients – developing sustainability indicators, benchmarks, performance targets and sustainability strategies. She was a member of Cities PLUS, Canada’s winning entry to the City of Tomorrow international competition and worked with Metro Vancouver to develop a series of social sustainability indicators for the Greater Vancouver Region.

Dara holds an honours BA in geography and history from Mount Allison University and an LL.B. from the University of Saskatchewan.
