Communications / Sustainability Reporting
We support both external and internal communications in our corporate social responsibility practice. Externally this means developing effective reporting frameworks and communication strategies for the organization's stakeholders. Internally we help organizations implement codes of conduct, develop communication tools and promote social and environmental improvements within the organization.
Case Study
Case 1
We worked with a non-profit organization to coordinate a major communications piece on ethics and corporate social responsibility in a national business magazine. The work involved interviewing several CEOs and executive managers in Canada and the United States and communicating their messages to readers.
Did you know?
Environics survey of G20 countries determined that the factors most influencing public impressions of a company were social responsibility (49%); brand quality/reputation (35%); and business fundamentals and management (10%)
Case 2
We helped a regional financial institution develop an internal and external reporting framework and communications strategy to report on their social and environmental performance to their stakeholders. A majority of our recommendations were accepted and are currently being or have already been implemented by the client.
“Good products and low prices are no longer enough. Consumers want to know their favourite brands also care about the environment and their employees… Companies that can genuinely promote themselves as valuing and following principles of sustainability will raise themselves above the throng. Companies that can’t make these claims – or who can but fail to assert them – risk being seen as second class.” UNEP Report
